Ourinhos stepped closer to the semifinal celebrating a road win in the series opener. The guests were already 12 points ahead at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 21-12 last quarter charge of Blumenau cut the lead to 65-56 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Blumenau 39-24 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ourinhos players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international center Kelly Santos (192-79, agency: Josep and Nicolas) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and the former international forward Silvia Gustavo (185-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) accounted for 12 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Mariana Camargo (180-85, college: ORU) came up with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Angela Braghin (173-88) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for Blumenau in the defeat.
