Santo Andre left no chance for visting Sao Jose in the first game of the series. The game was mostly controlled by Santo Andre. Sao Jose was better in fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sao Jose to just 6 points in second quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Ega Garvao (185-77, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Center Simone Lima (183-79) contributed with 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Santo Andre players scored in double figures. The former international center Alessandra De Oliviera (201-73) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Cristina Souza added 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Sao Jose.
