Regular Season Round 76: Sacramento K. - Golden St.W. 89-115

Date: March 13, 2012
Well, for one night the Warriors made do without Monta Ellis and Ekpe Udoh. About an hour before tip-off with the Sacramento Kings, the Warriors traded Ellis and Udoh, two of the team’s starters, to the Milwaukee Bucks in a deal for Andrew Bogut. Despite playing without those two starters, the Warriors still handled the Sacramento Kings at Power Balance Pavilion on Tuesday night. Warriors coach Mark Jackson started Nate Robinson and Klay Thompson in the backcourt, and they helped Golden State win its third game in a row. Starting point guard Stephen Curry sat out because of a strained tendon in his right foot. The game was tight for a half, but then Golden State established control in the third quarter. Thompson struggled from the field early – missing 10 of his first 12 shots, but rebounded and contributed to the win. Robinson, getting his first start as a Warrior, had 17 points. The Warriors placed six players in double figures. *Courtesy of www.csnbayarea.com
