Regular Season Round 32: Budivelnyk - Dnipro 95-85

Superleague top team - Budivelnyk (24-6) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat eighth ranked Dnipro (17-16) in Kyiv 95-85. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. Dnipro managed to win third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Dnipro 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. Budivelnyk shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Naturalized Lithuanian center Michailis Anisimovas (214-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Belarusian center Artsiom Parakhouski (211-87, college: Radford) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) replied with 28 points and American swingman Qyntel Woods (203-81, college: N.Mississippi JC) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Dnipro. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Budivelnyk have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 24-6 record. Dnipro at the other side keeps the eighth place with 16 games lost. Budivelnyk are looking forward to face BC Odessa (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Dnipro will play against DniproAzot in Dniprodzerzhynsk and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
