Regina trailed by 19 points after 3 quarters before a 25-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 66-75 at the end of the game. It was a very good performance for forward Jessica Franz (185) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Jenna Kaye (168) contributed with 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Calgary's coach Shawnee Harle used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Polish guard Joanna Zalesiak (174-88, college: UTEP) answered with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Megan Chamberlin (178-91) added 14 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Regina.
