Semi-Finals Game 3: Tapiolan Honka - Lapua 63-80

The game without a history. Lapuan Korikobrat led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Lapuan Korikobrat dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Tapiolan Honka's 24. They outrebounded Tapiolan Honka 40-24 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Tapiolan Honka helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American guard Walter Baxley (193-84, college: Mars Hill) who led his team to a victory with 24 points. His fellow American import guard Emmanuel Jackson (188-86, college: Seton Hill) contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Lapuan Korikobrat players scored in double figures. point guard Villematti Kopio (182-92) answered with 18 points and forward Tero Laitinen (201-87) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tapiolan Honka. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
