Regular Season Round 64: Austin T. - Iowa E. 113-103

Former Longhorn Cory Joseph (6'3'-PG-91, college: Texas), re-assigned from the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, scored a season-high 25 points, and the Austin Toros overcame a slow start to beat the Iowa Energy 113-103 at Cedar Park Center on Wednesday night. Lester Hudson (6'3'-G-84, college: Tenn-Martin) added 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Toros. The Energy went on runs of 12-0 and 10-0 in the first quarter to build a 31-17 lead after one period. Hudson's three-pointer tied the score at 42, and Iowa led 55-53 at halftime. The third quarter included nine lead changes, and Joseph's 12 points helped Austin take an 87-82 lead going into the fourth period. Austin led by as many as 18 points in the final quarter. Michael Efevberha (6'7'-G-84, college: CS Northridge) led the Energy with 28 points, and Ben Strong (6'11'-C-86, agency: Interperformances, college: Guilford) had 16 points and 17 rebounds.
