Quarter-Finals Round 2: LF Basket - Sundsvall 85-52

Date: March 23, 2012
The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-52. LF Basket dominated on the defensive end, holding Sundsvall Dragons to just 6 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Sundsvall Dragons' 32. American forward Marcus Relphorde (200-88, college: Colorado) notched 19 points to lead the effort and the former international guard Rudy Mbemba (184-87) supported him with 11 points and 8 assists. Even a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds by Icelandic power forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) did not help to save the game for Sundsvall Dragons. Icelandic guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) added 9 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
