Regular Season Round 66: Springfield A. - Canton C. 105-100

Date: March 24, 2012
Faced with a must-win situation Saturday night, the Springfield Armor did just that, rallying past the Canton Charge for a 105-100 NBA Development League victory. Trailing the first-place Charge 56-47 at halftime, the Armor pierced Canton’s defense for 36 points in the third quarter to lead 83-76 going into the fourth quarter. Though the Charge fought back to lead on four occasions, the last on Alan Anderson’s two free throws with 3:39 left, Springfield ran off six straight points from a 95-95 tie in the final 2:17 to snap Canton’s season-high seven-game winning streak. The win pulled Springfield (24-19) within a game of the Charge (26-19) in the Eastern Conference. Anderson was a one-man wrecking crew for the Charge. He scored a game-high 30 points by hitting 9 of 16 from the floor and 12 of 15 at the line. Anderson also added six rebounds and five assists. Luke Harangody scored 21 points and went 3 of 4 from the 3-point line and Frank Hassell added 15 points for Canton. Dennis Horner poured in 13 of his 21 points in the fourth and JamesOn Curry added seven of his 19 then as they combined for 20 of the Armor’s 22 in the final period. *Courtesy of www.cantonrep.com
