Very expected game when 8th ranked B&W Opava (9-31) was defeated at home by third ranked Basketbal Svitavy (18-22) 75-66 on Wednesday. B&W Opava trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 22-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 66-75 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was Polish center Pawel Mroz (215-84) who scored 25 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Congolese-French forward Boris Meno (203-83, college: Davidson, agency: Two Points) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Jakub Blazek (203-80) produced 8 points and 13 rebounds and guard Petr Dokoupil (191-88) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Basketbal Svitavy moved-up to second place in A2, which they share with Levice. B&W Opava lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 31 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
