Very predictable result when fifth ranked CAB Madeira (13-7) rolled over 11th ranked Terceira Basket (4-16) in Angra Heroismo 94-65 on Wednesday. The game without a history. CAB Madeira led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 54.1 percentage. CAB Madeira looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international point guard Jaime Silva (187-80) orchestrated the victory by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 4 assists. The former international point guard Mario Fernandes (176-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 assists for the winners. Forward Alvaro Pontes (190-85) replied with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Frederico Tavares (194-88) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Terceira Basket. Four Terceira Basket players scored in double figures. CAB Madeira maintains fifth position with 13-7 record. Terceira Basket lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh place with 16 games lost. CAB Madeira will face league's leader FC Porto Ferpinta on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
