Semi-Finals Game 1: Prievidza - Nitra 90-70

Prievidza eased past Nitra in the semifinal series opener. The game was mostly controlled by Prievidza. Nitra was better in third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Prievidza especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Bermudas-British swingman Sullivan Phillips (198-79, college: Wash.Adventist, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. American guard David Godbold (196-85, college: Oklahoma, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Puerto Rican point guard Denis Clemente (185-86, college: Kansas St., agency: KMG Sports Management) answered with 29 points and the former international center Branislav Tomek (205-83) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Nitra. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
