There was a minor upset when second-ranked Levice (18-22) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked BK Usti nad Labem (15-25) 87-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by BK Usti nad Labem. Levice was better in fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BK Usti nad Labem made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Thaddeus McFadden (188-87, college: Fairmont St., agency: Stanley International) who scored 18 points and 7 assists. Forward Stepan Reinberger (200-81) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five BK Usti nad Labem players scored in double figures. American guard Keaton Grant (193-86, college: Purdue) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and British center Michael Bernard (205-78, college: S.Florida) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted BK Usti nad Labem maintains fifth position in A2 with 15-25 record. Loser Levice keeps the second place with 22 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
