Top ranked Asseco Prokom (4-2) recorded its second loss in Wloclawek on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Anwil (3-3) 66-55. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Asseco Prokom. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 24-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Krzysztof Szubarga (182-84) who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. American power forward Corsley Edwards (205-79, college: Cent.Conn.St.) chipped in 6 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian power forward Donatas Motiejunas (213-90, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 9 points and 8 rebounds and international center Adam Hrycaniuk (206-84, college: Cincinnati, agency: Alti Sport) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anwil maintains fourth position in Group A with 3-3 record. Defending champion Asseco Prokom still keeps top place with two games lost. They share the position with Zastal ZG and Trefl Sopot. Anwil are looking forward to face league's second-placed Trefl Sopot at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Asseco Prokom will play against Zastal ZG in Zielona Gora and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
