There was an upset when second-ranked BK Prostejov (24-10) was edged on the road by sixth ranked USK Praha (16-17) 83-82 on Saturday. BK Prostejov was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 28-23 charge of USK Praha, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Vojtech Hruban (202-89) who scored 21 points. Forward Jiri Slavik (203-89) chipped in 14 points. Four USK Praha players scored in double figures. American power forward Travis Peterson (208-85, college: Samford, agency: Edge Sports) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds and Slovenian point guard Matej Venta (187-84) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. USK Praha maintains sixth position in A1 with 16-17 record. BK Prostejov at the other side keeps the second place with ten games lost. USK Praha will face higher ranked BK Pardubice (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BK Prostejov will play against BK Decin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
