Regular Season Round 31: Avantazh-Pol. - Ternopil 118-68

Higher League top team - Avantazh-Politekhnik (25-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Ternopil-TNEU (0-30) in Kharkov 118-68. The game without a history. Avantazh-Politekhnik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Ternopil-TNEU's 42. They outrebounded Ternopil-TNEU 42-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Avantazh-Politekhnik players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Ternopil-TNEU's players. It was a great evening for the former international guard Timur Arabadzhi (192-81) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Evgeniy Dyachenko (190-90) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side center Sergyi Teleshko (209-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Anton Kozlov (175-90) scored 14 points. Five Avantazh-Politekhnik and four Ternopil-TNEU players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Avantazh-Politekhnik have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 25-5 record. Ternopil-TNEU at the other side still closes the standings. Avantazh-Politekhnik will play against league's second-placed VolinBasket in Lutsk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ternopil-TNEU will play at home against Musson (#3) in Symferopil and hopes to get finally their first victory.
