It looked good early as Hertener Loewen took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Oettinger Rockets Gotha had a 29-13 second period charge getting the lead and Hertener Loewen was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 72-92. Oettinger Rockets Gotha forced 20 Hertener Loewen turnovers. American swingman Marcus Monk (198-86, college: Arkansas, agency: The House of Baller!Stars) notched a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Torvoris Baker (203-83, college: Detroit Mercy) supported him with 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Oettinger Rockets Gotha's coach Marko Simic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds by power forward Christoph Hackenesch (204-86) did not help to save the game for Hertener Loewen. American guard Zamal Nixon (185-89, college: Houston) added 22 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
