Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Batumi (2-18) was outscored on the road by third ranked Kutaisi (16-4) 86-67 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Kutaisi. Batumi was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Batumi 48-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. Kutaisi looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a very good performance for naturalized Azerbaijani forward Davit Barbakadze (203-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Rezo Didia (203-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Kutaisi's coach Davit Ustiashvili used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Ivane Maisuradze (194-85) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds and guard Nika Ramishvili (181-94) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Batumi. Kutaisi have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Olimpi. Batumi lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games.
