An interesting game for Minsk-2006 (25-1) which hosted in Minsk 3rd ranked Rubon (13-13). First ranked Minsk-2006 had an easy win 106-77. The game without a history. Minsk-2006 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 62.3 percent from the field. Minsk-2006 had a 31-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. American guard Bobby Maze (191-86, college: Tennessee) scored 31 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Aliaksandr Kudrautsau (190-80) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists during the contest. Five Minsk-2006 players scored in double figures. Guard Siarhei Sapegin (195-84) responded with 20 points and forward Dmitri Shilovich (200-89) scored 15 points. Rubon's coach Ruslan Baidakov gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains first position in League with 25-1 record. Rubon at the other side keeps the third place with 13 games lost. Minsk-2006 will play against league's second-placed Grodno-93 on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rubon will play against Minsk-2006 II and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
