The game was mostly controlled by Wuber-Est.Bahia. Penarol managed to win fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wuber-Est.Bahia looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Penarol helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for international guard Juan Ignacio Sanchez (193-77, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists. American power forward Jerome Meyinsse (206-88, college: Virginia) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Wuber-Est.Bahia players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Martin Leiva (208-80) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and guard Facundo Campazzo (180-91) added 17 points and 7 assists in the effort for Penarol. Penarol's coach Sergio Hernandez rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
