Quarter-Finals Round 1: Handlopex AZS - MKS Limbach 90-66

The game was mostly controlled by Handlopex AZS. MKS Limbach was better in fourth quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Handlopex AZS dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to MKS Limbach's 32. They outrebounded MKS Limbach 46-25 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Handlopex AZS players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by MKS Limbach's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. Power forward Marek Osiniak (200-80) nailed 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and forward Mikolaj Sowa (198-85) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Handlopex AZS players scored in double figures. Handlopex AZS's coach Mariusz Michalczyk felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Andrzej Peciak (195-78) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and point guard Wojciech Rykala (180-76) added 13 points respectively for MKS Limbach in the defeat.
