The game between second ranked Ataman (19-11) and fourth ranked TEMP-SUMZ Revda (16-14) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Ataman was defeated by TEMP-SUMZ Revda in Rostov 72-62. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Power forward Aleksandr Zaykin (208-84) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Igor Samsonov (202-89) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Nikita Gresev (204-88) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and swingman Igor Smygin (197-87, agency: Alti Sport) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TEMP-SUMZ Revda maintains fourth place with 16-14 record. Newly promoted Ataman keeps the second position with 11 games lost. TEMP-SUMZ Revda are looking forward to face Rjazan (#6) on the road in the next round. Ataman will play against Universitet-Yugra (#3) in Surgut and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
