Regular Season Round 31: Fraport SKY - Phoenix Hagen 92-47
Date: April 11, 2012
Not a big story in a game in Frankfurt where 17th ranked Phoenix Hagen (8-23) was rolled over by ninth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (16-15) 92-47 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Deutsche Bank Skyliners led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Phoenix Hagen's 40. Deutsche Bank Skyliners forced 19 Phoenix Hagen turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for guard Devin Gibson (182-89, college: UTSA) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 4 assists. Forward Jermareo Davidson (208-84, college: Alabama) helped adding 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five Deutsche Bank Skyliners players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Jordan Hasquet (206-85, college: Montana, agency: Dynamics Global Management) responded with 8 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and forward Adam Constantine (206-88, college: Elon, agency: Strategic Sports) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Deutsche Bank Skyliners have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place. Phoenix Hagen lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 23 games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will face TBB Trier (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Phoenix Hagen will play against BBC Bayreuth.
