The game was mostly controlled by Torpan Pojat. Kauhajoen Karhu managed to win third quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Torpan Pojat dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Kauhajoen Karhu's 26. They outrebounded Kauhajoen Karhu 42-29 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Justin Hawkins (201-85, college: N.Mexico St.) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Chase Griffin (188-83, college: Pepperdine) chipped in 21 points. Forward Casey Reed (197-86, college: Seattle Pacific) produced 12 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Clevin Hannah (180-87, college: Wichita St., agency: Court Side) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Four Kauhajoen Karhu players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
