Eighth-ranked Gaiteros (13-22) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Gigantes (19-14) in Maracaibo on Friday. The visitors from Puerto Ordaz managed to secure only one-point victory 96-95. However their fans expected much easier game. Gigantes moved-up to third place. Gaiteros lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 22 games lost. Gigantes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gaiteros will play again at home against Gigantes (#3) in Puerto Ordaz and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
