Quarter-Finals Round 2: Alba Chorzow - AZS AWF K-ce 74-85

AZS Katowice advanced into Group B semifinals. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-74. AZS AWF K-ce made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Alba Chorzow turnovers. It was a great shooting night for AZS AWF K-ce especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when AZS AWF K-ce made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Tomasz Milewski (202-78) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Marcin Ecka (184-78) chipped in 15 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four AZS AWF K-ce players scored in double figures. Forward Tomasz Gembus (198-87) produced 18 points and power forward Marcin Weselak (204-79) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Alba Chorzow's coach Rafal Sobecki let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
