There was an upset when higher ranked BBC Bayreuth (12-20) was defeated on the road by seventeenth ranked Phoenix Hagen (9-23) 94-76 on Saturday. BBC Bayreuth was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Phoenix Hagen forced 21 BBC Bayreuth turnovers. BBC Bayreuth was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Davin White (186-81, college: CS Northridge) who scored 24 points and 5 steals. Canadian guard Tristan Blackwood (183-85) chipped in 20 points. Nigerian-American forward Ekenechukwu Ibekwe (206-85, college: Maryland) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and Estonian guard Rain Veideman (192-91) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Phoenix Hagen moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with EnBW L'burg and LTi 46ers.
