Very predictable result in Sevilla where eighth ranked Cajasol (16-13) smashed 15th ranked Blusens Monbus (10-19) 79-59 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-59. Serbian forward Luka Bogdanovic (210-85, agency: Beo Basket) stepped up and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and center Juan Triguero (208-83) chipped in 6 points and 8 rebounds. American swingman Deron Washington (201-85, college: Virginia Tech) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Gabonese forward Stephane Lasme (203-82, college: Massachusetts) scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Cajasol. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Lagun Aro GBC. Newly promoted Blusens Monbus dropped to the sixteenth position with 19 games lost. Cajasol will face bottom-ranked Blancos de Rueda (#18) in Valladolid in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Blusens Monbus will play at home against Gran Canaria 2014 in Las Palmas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
