Start Gdynia had little problems against AZS Kutno to step closer to the semis. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 52-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Start Gdynia dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to AZS Kutno's 30 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Start Gdynia forced 21 AZS Kutno turnovers and outrebounded them 33-17 including a 23-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Tomasz Andrzejewski (204-79) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Piotr Smigielski (190-89) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Start Gdynia's coach Pawel Turkiewicz felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Aleks Perka (201-87, college: Rice, agency: Stanley International) produced 16 points and guard Dawid Brek (185-89) added 7 points and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Five Start Gdynia and four AZS Kutno players scored in double figures.
