Hapoel Tel-Aviv thrashed Ironi Ramat Gan in the opening game of the series. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Ironi Ramat Gan managed to win third quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 25 personal fouls committed by Ironi Ramat Gan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
