Quarter-Finals Round 4: ToPo - Kauhajoki 82-72

Date: April 16, 2012
The game was mostly controlled by Torpan Pojat. Kauhajoen Karhu was better in fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Torpan Pojat made 24-of-26 charity shots (92.3 percent) during the game. Kauhajoen Karhu was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American forward Justin Hawkins (201-85, college: N.Mexico St.) who scored that evening 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and international forward Kimmo Muurinen (202-81, college: UALR) supported him with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Torpan Pojat players scored in double figures. Torpan Pojat's coach Tomi Kaminen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 22 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Kelly Beidler (199-88, college: Mt.St.Mary's, agency: R.H.Consultancy) did not help to save the game for Kauhajoen Karhu. International forward Vesa Makalainen (200-86) added 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for lost side.
