Quarter-Finals Round 1: Kolossos - Kavala 82-61

The game was mostly controlled by Kolossos. Kavala managed to win second period 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kavala to just 7 points in third quarter. Kolossos dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Kavala's 28. They outrebounded Kavala 36-18 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for American guard Marcus Hatten (186-80, college: St.John's) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Ruben Boykin (201-85, college: N.Arizona) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Kolossos players scored in double figures. Kolossos' coach Vasilis Fragias felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Nikos Angelopoulos (205-84) answered with 13 points and point guard Christoforos Stefanidis (185-80) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Kavala.
