The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-70. Toyota Alvark outrebounded Aishin Sea Horses 43-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Jeff Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import forward Philip Ricci (202-80, college: Oregon St.) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Anthony Richardson (201-83, college: Florida St., agency: TSS Management) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Five Toyota Alvark and four Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
