Fourteenth-ranked TBB Trier (10-23) was very close to win a game against second ranked ratiopharm Ulm (26-7) on Saturday. ratiopharm Ulm managed to secure only one-point victory 78-77. However their fans expected much easier game. TBB Trier trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 24-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 77-78 at the end of the game. ratiopharm Ulm made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for center John Bryant (208-87, college: Santa Clara) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Isaiah Swann (188-85, college: Florida St.) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Forward Nate Linhart (201-86, college: Akron) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Dru Joyce (183-85, college: Akron) added 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for TBB Trier. TBB Trier's coach Henrik Roedl rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ratiopharm Ulm maintains second place with 26-7 record having just three points less than leader Brose Baskets.
