No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Sokhumi (11-9) crushed 9th ranked STU (5-15) in Tbilisi 93-54 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sokhumi. STU was better in fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding STU to just 5 points in third quarter. Sokhumi dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to STU's 30. Sokhumi forced 19 STU turnovers and outrebounded them 62-35 including a 48-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Levan Patsatsia (198-88, college: Troy) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 10 points, 17 rebounds and 13 assists. International guard Lasha Parghalava (191-87, college: Montana St. - Billin, agency: Alti Sport) contributed with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Sokhumi players scored in double figures. Forward Zviad Antadze (198-88, college: Monroe Coll.) replied with 17 points and guard George Khaniashvili (194-89) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for STU. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sokhumi moved-up to fifth place. STU lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 15 games lost.
