There was an upset in Athens where higher ranked OFI (14-13) was defeated by eleventh ranked Amyntas Dafnis (13-14) 91-79 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Amyntas Dafnis. OFI was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Amyntas Dafnis outrebounded OFI 33-19 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for guard Leonidas Zoupas (182-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 assists. Guard Kostas Vardavas (193-81) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Amyntas Dafnis players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Dimitris Katiakos (205-87) with 20 points and guard Christos Papanikolaou (195-85, agency: Interperformances) scored 14 points. Amyntas Dafnis moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Ermis Lagkada. Newly promoted OFI dropped to the seventh position with 13 games lost. Amyntas Dafnis will face Periko/Arhelaos (#13) in Perikos in the next round.
