Groningen's coach Hakim Salem felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by forward Lucas Hargrove (198-88, college: Auburn) did not help to save the game for Nijmegen. Forward Markel Humphrey (198-87, college: Marshall) added 8 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Zwolle. Nijmegen at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Nijmegen will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path.
