Semi-Finals Game 2: Liepaja - Ventspils 70-94

The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-70. Ventspils made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Ventspils especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. American guard Jahmar Young (196-86, college: N.Mexico St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. International center Arturs Berzins (204-88, agency: FCM) contributed with 20 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Ventspils players scored in double figures. Swingman Janis Timma (201-92, agency: FCM) replied with 20 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Josh Mayo (182-87, college: Ill.-Chicago, agency: Ryzhov Stanislav) added 16 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) in the effort for Liepaja. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
