ASEAN League top team - Filipino Petron Blaze (14-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Thailand Thailand Slammers (5-13) in Bangkok 103-76. Petron Blaze forced 20 Thailand Slammers turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Thailand Slammers' players. American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) stepped up and scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Duke Crews (203-88, college: Bowie St.) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Petron Blaze's coach Ato Agustin felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Calvin Williams (206-87, college: SE Missouri St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds and guard Darongpan Apiromvilaichai (185-85) scored 18 points. Five Petron Blaze and four Thailand Slammers players scored in double figures. Petron Blaze have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-4 record. Thailand Slammers lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Petron Blaze will play against Singapore Slingers (#5) at home in the next round. Thailand Slammers will have a break next round.
