Quarter-Finals Round 1: Anwil - PGE Turow 76-72

Anwil overcame PGE Turow to take the lead in the series. PGE Turow trailed 34-31 at halftime, rallying from a 23-8 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. Strangely PGE Turow outrebounded Anwil 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. PGE Turow was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. American power forward Corsley Edwards (205-79, college: Cent.Conn.St.) stepped up and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Krzysztof Szubarga (182-84) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. At the losing side naturalized German forward Konrad Wysocki (201-82, college: Princeton, agency: Pro One Sports) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Australian-Dutch center Daniel Kickert (208-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
