The winners were led by American center Patrick O'Bryant (213-86, college: Bradley) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds and Nigerian-Jamaican guard Oritseweyinmi Efejuku (196-86, college: Providence) supported him with 23 points, 6 assists and 6 steals. Even a double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds by international center Daniel Santiago (216-76, college: N.Mexico, agency: Priority Sports) did not help to save the game for Capitanes. American-Panamanian guard Danilo Pinnock (196-83, college: G.Washington) added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Capitanes players scored in double figures. Capitanes' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Indios have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-6 record. Defending champion Capitanes keep the fourth place with ten games lost. Indios will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Capitanes will play at home against Vaqueros (#3) in Bayamon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
