The game without a history. Panathinaikos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 61.3 percent from the field. Panathinaikos forced 20 Kolossos turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Panathinaikos especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kolossos' players. International power forward Ian Vougioukas (212-85, college: St.Louis) stepped up and scored 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Dimitris Diamantidis (196-80) chipped in 6 points and 8 assists. At the losing side American guard Scotty Hopson (200-89, college: Tennessee) responded with 19 points and forward Antonis Asimakopoulos (204-76) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
