Liepaja was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 26-14 charge of Ventspils, which allowed them to win the game. Ventspils outrebounded Liepaja 32-21 including 28 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Liepaja helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for international center Arturs Berzins (204-88, agency: FCM) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 9 rebounds.
