Quarter-Finals Round 3: Energa Czarni - Stelmet ZG 79-70

Energa Czarni registered the second win over Zastal Zielona Gora. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 16-9. But Zastal ZG won second period 24-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Energa Czarni won last quarter 25-18. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Zastal ZG's 34 and made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Energa Czarni had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Stanley Burrell (190-84) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists. Canadian center Scott Morrison (212-86, college: Portland St.) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winning side. The former international forward Marcin Sroka (200-81, agency: Promotex) came up with 14 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Thomas Mobley (195-81, college: Charleston) added 12 points respectively for Zastal ZG in the defeat.
