Very expected game in Jakarta where 8th ranked Thailand Thailand Slammers (5-14) were defeated by third ranked Indonesian Satria Muda (10-9) 73-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Satria Muda led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Evan Brock (204-84, college: Alabama) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Filipino-American point guard Stanley Pringle (184-87, college: Penn St.) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Satria Muda players scored in double figures. American forward Calvin Williams (206-87, college: SE Missouri St.) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import center Christopher Garnett (211-80, college: Indiana SE) added 23 points respectively for lost side. Satria Muda have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 10-9 record having seven points less than leader Petron Blaze, which they share with KL Dragons. Thailand Slammers lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Satria Muda will face Bangkok Cobras (#6) on the road in the next round. Thailand Slammers will play against KL Dragons in Kuala Lumpur.
