Second Stage Round 10: Helios - Zlatorog 69-83

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Helios (6-4) against fourth ranked Zlatorog (5-5) on Saturday night. Host Helios were defeated by Zlatorog in Domzale 83-69. The game without a history. Zlatorog led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Helios' 26. Helios were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian forward Vladimir Panic (194-82) notched 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Croatian power forward Jure Skific (202-88) supported him with 15 points. Zlatorog's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 21 points and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) by guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) did not help to save the game for Helios. American guard D.J. Gay (183-89, college: San Diego St.) added 12 points for lost side. Zlatorog maintains fourth position with 5-5 record. Helios lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with four games lost.
