Finals Game 3: Los Angeles D. - Austin T. 110-122

The 2012 NBA D-League Most Valuable Player Justin Dentmon scored a team-high 30 points as the Austin Toros defeated the Los Angeles D-Fenders, 122-110, in the 2012 NBA Development League Finals. Eric Dawson poured in a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds while Julian Wright and Brad Wanamaker added 19 and 18 points, respectively. The Toros dropped the first game of the three-game series, but battled back with two straight victories to claim the title. Mardy Collins scored a game-high 31 points for the NBADL regular season champions. Los Angeles recorded a D-League record 38-12 mark this season, but dropped two straight to finish the season as runner-up. The Toros jumped out to an early 18-8 lead and led by as many as 14 in the first before the D-Fenders battled back to trail by just six after one. The Austin lead teetered around 10 for the majority of the second until Kareem Rush buried a three-pointer with under 10 seconds left to bring Los Angeles within 67-60 heading into the locker room. Los Angeles trailed by 12 with just under three minutes left in the third before closing the frame with an 8-2 swing to pull within 94-88 after three. Five straight to start the fourth had Los Angeles within one, 94-93, but a 6-0 response from Austin had the lead back at seven. An Elijah Millsap jumper had the D-Fenders back within three just past the midpoint of the frame, but a 7-2 swing found the Toros' lead back to eight, 113-105.
