Zastal Zielona Gora narrowly defeated Energa Czarni to enter the semifinals. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Energa Czarni won third quarter 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zastal ZG made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Energa Czarni outrebounded Zastal ZG 41-23 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Energa Czarni was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Ivorian-Puerto Rican point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) nailed 24 points and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international point guard Kamil Chanas (188-85) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds. American point guard Stanley Burrell (190-84) came up with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Puerto Rican point guard Darnell Hinson (186-80, college: Northeastern St.) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Energa Czarni in the defeat.
