Kutaisi dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to TSU's 16. They outrebounded TSU 47-29 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kutaisi players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Richard Matiashvili (209-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists. Serbian forward Darko Cohadarevic (206-86, college: Texas Tech) contributed with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Kutaisi players scored in double figures. Guard Beqa Chikviladze (195-91) answered with 22 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Givi Bakradze (185-91) added 11 points and 5 assists in the effort for TSU. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
