We should mention about the upset which took place in Chartres, where higher ranked Blois (23-11) lost to thirteenth ranked Chartres (15-19) in a road game 66-71 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Blois. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Blois won third quarter 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Blois 35-24 including 21 on the defensive glass. Chartres looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Serbian center Ljubomir Avramovic (201-79) fired 20 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Guillaume Merie (198-83) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Chartres players scored in double figures. Finnish forward Ville Kaunisto (204-82) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and naturalized Mali forward Tahirou Sani (204-85) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Chartres moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Rueil and Lievin. Loser Blois dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost.
